building recurves

was wondering if anyone has built their own recurve bow. I am planning on buying the kit where you form them and laminate them, and then sculpt the riser as you like it... Has anyone built one.. How did it turn out and do you have any tips for me..

I saw someone do this once and that was enough for me to know I couldn't do it. I have a few recurves but they were built by someone else. Best of luck to you if you give it a go
