The deer activity in my area has really picked up lately. I think with the cooler temps and a lot of the crops being picked its allowing/making the travel farther for food. In the last 2 hours I have seen 4 mature does and five fawns. 3 different groups. Group one was One mature one fawn. Group 2 was one BIG doe and a set of twins. The last group was 2 does and 2 fawns. I caught a glimpse on a nice tall 8 with a chocolate colored rack but he was headed somewhere with haste. I've also seen a little scrubby 5 point and a button buck I call Ben twice. It seems like everytime I do a rattle / grunt sequence he comes around and hangs out for awhile. I think he might be the fawn of the doe I shot last month but I could be wrong. The temps are a little chilly it was about 30 degrees when I left the house and hasn't warmed up much since.
