On Sunday the gun doctor himself, Zach Potter, and I went to shoot a few of the guns. We sighted in my new 12 gauge, aka, the hand canon, and the .223. I also started shooting Zach's 6mm since it's going with me to Western South Dakota on a hunt for the Doc's tv show. That 6mm will shoot deer out to at least 400 yards and the hunt I'm going on is all spot and stalk so I'll need the range.
Here are a few pics. The first two are the 6mm and the other pics are of the hand canon. It was shooting darts at 100 yards but then our shoulders got sore. I'll back it up to 150 or 200 next time. Was a lot of fun doing some longer distance shooting.

It is a bad dude that's for sure. I love the thumbhole stock as well. Makes it easier to study against the shoulder

And now let's ask about the rifle. It's been 30 years since I have seen one and it's hard to tell in pictures; but that's a 788......right?

Don't get too comfortable using that vehicle for a rest. The game comission frowns heavily upon that...

I have no idea to be honest. I'm not a big gun person. Zach will know all that information

Wow swampghost, I'm impressed! Yes, its a rem 788, one of my favorite rifles.

It was a lot of fun, I can't tell you how much I liked that H&R slug gun, especially with that Leupold scope. I've never shot the Leupold Rifleman, and it was the perfect match. I might be borrowing that gun myself this fall Laughing
