Went out to the new farm on Saturday morning with Staffer Zach Potter. We did some more scouting and hung a trail camera in a great little spot. On the way back to the truck we found a matching set of sheds. They were ate up a bit but still in decent shape. I've never found or seen any this late in the year. Pretty nice set to. Lots of mass on the 8 pointer. We also hung a double stand and found a spot to put up a ground blind. I'm taking my uncle out this year for, hopefully, his first deer. He's in his 60's and has always wanted to shoot a deer. Basically he is a walking miracle with 4 heart attacks, 25 stints, and open heart surgery less than a year ago. This new farm has a great deer population and I plan on putting him on one in a few months.
The land owner is seeing some nice deer and one in particular that's, as he puts it, really large. It's all corn out there this year but we had a super growing season and they are looking at taking it out the first part of October. Once that happens this is going to be a super place.
