That is great you are the only one with permission to hunt now you can do what you want and the way you want
Id make some stricked rules for your buddies as well of your own.
The rules are for all that hunt the property. If someone doesn't like them, then they don't go. Opening weekend it is me and 3 of my cousins, Doe's won't be a problem and they are as excited about managing it.
The biggest debate is if a 130+ walks by and we don't have a Doe yet???? Even for me that would be hard to pass up! But I have to stick to the rule, or else, someone shoots a big buck and never returns to take a Doe! It will pay off in the long run, and as I get to know the landowner we will be able to improve the properties with future plans of a cabin and box blinds already in the works.
Another idea if all goes as planned is to host a youth hunting weekend next year. The short term goal is to have at least 3 box blinds built for next season, these are great for taking youngin's huntin, as you well know Mike.
And did I mention the Turkey and great small mouth fishing!!!!
