Youth Hunt VA

Our 7 year old Kelly B got his first deer Saturday during the youth hunt in Va. No luck in the morning, so Brian and Kelly went out to a field towards dark and waited. It was a cool 92 degrees earlier and Brian really didn't expect to see much moving, but they ended up seeing 16 deer. This spike stood still for way to long for Kelly not to shoot. Brian said that Kelly was so nervous that it took him about 2 minutes to finally pull the trigger. It was a 130 yard shot with my .308 which he has now claimed as his. I must say that both Dad and Son were walking on air for the rest of the weekend.

You got that right...and more than just his looks.

We had deer burgers last night and we made sure to let him know that he was feeding our family that night...talk about proud!! Thanks everybody for the nice comments, he was tickled.
