I don't have any details but below is a picture of a deer my cousin shot here in MD this past weekend. He called the DNR and they just said it was moles or warts. They did not come out to look at the deer. These things were all over this deer. I don't know how it could even see, the other side of his head is the same. It looks to be alittle more then just warts or moles to me. Maybe tumors. Has anyone ever seen this before or know anything about it?

I can't believe they wouldn't have a wildlife biologist take a look at that-its just plain disgusting! Glad he put it out of its misery, but after it fell I wouldn't touch the thing!

I can't believe they didn't come out and look at that deer either. I have not heard of any others in the area. I will let everyone know if I find out anything.

We had one like that round here a couple years ago. We called him the meatball buck. rendeer My buddy got several trailcam pics of him throughout the summer, the growths were a red meat like in color. He ended up disappearing, never did hear anyone fessing up to taking him out. Not surprised they didn't come out for a look, it's actually more common than you would think.

Just shot a buck looking this way here in Southern Michigan. Took this thing to the DNR. The man looked at it and told us he didn't want anything to do with this deer, oh but it's ok to eat!. He'll get back with us in a few days about it's condition. NOWAY!!! is this ok to eat. Not my family. Not sure how to post pics of the deer I have.
