A gound blind can be helpful if you are just getting into turkey hunting or you want to film your hunts cause it conceals movement but don't rule out just sitting on the ground in some weeds or up against a big tree.

Blinds are really nice to have but not a must. If you have birds hanging out in a field you can set it up in the field and they usually don't pay it no mind. And like posted before they are great for filming and bow hunting. I will be sitting in one tomorrow morning with a bow and a camera.

Ground blinds are great if you are planning on hunting turkeys with the bow or filming your hunts. I always have one in my truck during the hunting season. Last year we shot Three of four birds out of it one with the gun and two with the bow. Just bought another hub style one today to put out for the season so that it is always set an I don't have to carry one in with me.
